2018's Tomb Raider made about $275 million at the box office, and a sequel was planned at one point, but whether or not it ever gets made is still up in the air.
Star Alicia Vikander, who plays Lara Croft, said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that the sequel is in limbo due to Amazon buying out MGM, which owns the theatrical rights to Tomb Raider.
"I have no clue," the Oscar-winning actress said about Tomb Raider 2. "Now, it's kind of politics."
