A Quiet Place: Day One, the upcoming prequel to the horror series, is reportedly adding Oscar-winning actress Lupita Nyong'o to its cast. A source told Deadline that Nyong'o is in "final negotiations" to star in the prequel film, which will be directed by Michael Sarnoski (Pig).
John Krasinski directed the first two A Quiet Place films and starred in the original. He came up with the idea for the prequel, but specific plot details are unknown. Given its title, Day One, the movie will probably dig into what happened the day the killer aliens came to Earth.
A Quiet Place: Part II opened with a brief glimpse at the frightening invasion day before a time-jump. According to Deadline, Krasinski is not expected to come back for the prequel, nor is star Emily Blunt.
