Mike Judge: King Of The Hill Has A "Very Good Chance Of Coming Back"

At Comic-Con, King of the Hill creator Mike Judge expanded on a fan question about the recent Beavis & Butt-Head revival to say that King of the Hill also "has a very good chance of coming back." IGN was the first to report.

Reports of a revival began back in January when Judge and fellow creator Greg Daniels reunited to create a new animation company called Bandera Entertainment, with a King of the Hill revival as part of their plans. In an interview that came out around that time, the pair shared they were not yet ready to share official details. Later that month, Daniels told curious fans that while there is no deal in place, the plan was to jump the show's world to be set 15 years after the finale.

In March, TV writer and producer Brent Forrester let slip that the King of the Hill revival was looking more possible than its creators were letting on. In a Reddit AMA, Forrester said, "I am sure Greg Daniels and Mike Judge will murder me for sharing this but... HELL YES. They are in hot negotiations to bring back King of the Hill. The Trump administration made it suddenly very relevant again. The characters have all aged 15 years. The project is sooooo good. Okay I've said too much."
